The Asplund Library Expansion
2006/2007 - CAD/International Competition
An open competition to expand the Asplund Library in Stockholm Sweden. The main objective of my design was to mirror the changes in how libraries are used as emergent media transforms the way we consume information. I emphasized open and communal spaces where people could use laptops and share ideas as well as spaces for private computer use. I also wanted to make reference to the original library by using clusters of circles to shape the space.
